* Unfortunately, Caesar has passed away. He was fine when we fed on Christmas Eve, but we found him dead Christmas morning with a snakebite mark on his face. We kept his two daughters, Star and Grace, so at least his line will live on through them.
---------------------------------
Caesar is pictured here at 17 months old. He is very tall, long, level and smoothly blended. He has a long neck, sharp withers, deep chest, WIDE rear stance and strong feet and legs.He is the perfect blending of his parents, *B Here Be Goats Classy Magician and Here Be Goats C-Quin 3*M.
*B Classy Magician is a fantastic buck. His 2009 Linear Appraisal score was 90VEV. He has been shown just three times, yet placed 1x First and 2x Second Place. He is a very balanced buck with his dam's outstanding front end and rear leg set you could drive a truck through. He was bred extensively at Shady Lawn Farms in 2008. All the resulting offspring are level, wide, smooth and excel in general appearance, feet and legs.
C-Quin 3*M is a very long bodied, very dairy doe with an excellent show and milk record. Her 2008 Linear Appraisal score was 88VEVV. She was 2x First Place milking yearling and 1x Reserve Grand Champion. Then at goats in Gatorland 2008, she was Grand Champion in Ring One and Reserve Grand Champion in Ring Two. At her 4 year old DHIR milk test she gave 14.4# at three weeks fresh and peaked at 15#.
With such wonderful genetics, Caesar was destined to be an outstsnding sire. He fathered a buckling and two doelings for us in 2010. All are very beautiful and correct. We retained both doelings and expect them to be fantastic milkers.

Aristede is pictured at 11 months old. He looks a little prickly due to a fresh clip job, which he very patiently stood for. Aside from his sweet temperament, this buck has some awesome bloodlines. His dam, SGCH Twin Cypress OOHTC Flutterby 2*M, is a smoothly blended doe that exhibits wide, flat bone, excellent barrel, outstanding mammary system and great width from thurl to thurl. Flutterby earned the dry leg of her championship at only 3 months old. She received her Superior Genetics status in 2004. Her Linear Appraisal score that year was 92EEEE.
His sire, *B Devonshire SS Sun-Sational, is a very handsome, very masculine buck. He has a gorgeous topline, great body capacity, sharp withers that blend into a long neck, and stands on strong feet and legs. His 2008 Linear Appraisal score was 86+VE. Sun-Sational was 2x First Place and 2x Reserve Grand Champion at the 2008 West Georgia Dairy Goat Show, and was 3x Second Place at the 2008 Rutfest. He is a champion who breeds champions. His daughter Tilted Halo Essie's Angel was 2008 Florida State Fair Jr. Grand Champion. His other daughter, Tilted Halo Trisha Soliel was Reserve Jr Grand Champion at the same show. If that were not enough, his twin brother, Devonshire SS Serrated, was named American Lamancha Club's 2009 All American 2 Year Old Buck.
Aristede is a good looking buck with a lot of dairy character. He has what some would call "the old fashioned" Lamancha look- in other words, he actually conforms to the breed standard! He is long and level with a wide flat rump, a gorgeous topline, good spring of rib, nice escutcheon arch, and plenty of width between the hocks. He is of average size and has a beautiful head with a straight profile, not that horrible "hump nose" that comes when some breeders breed for size alone. I, for one, think this new trend of creating Shetland pony-sized bucks for the show ring is sacrificing not only the true Lamancha "look" but its feed efficiency as well.
Aristede was bred to Winona this year for February kid(s). We are very excited to see what this breeding produces!
