It's no wonder that Lilith is such a fantastic milker. Her background is all about production. Her sire, Altrece WJ Jumanji comes from Altrece Dairy Farm, a 'Grade A' goat dairy in Pomerene, Arizona. Her paternal grandsire, *B Willow Run Chalupa Jolt, comes from yet ANOTHER commercia goat dairy, Willow Run Dairy Farm in Bellbrook, Ohio. Lilith's dam, Glen-Mythos Lorelei, earned her milk star in 2008. AND...Lorelei is the get of a star buck and a three star milker.
Lilith is not our largest doe, but she is very correct. She is long and deep with fantastic spring of rib. She has a wide, flat rump with plenty of width from thurl to thurl as well as between the hocks. She has a tremendous mammary system that is capacious, high, wide and extremely well-attached. We continue to be impressed with her milk production. As a second time freshener, she produced 14.83# of milk a day at two months fresh. She produced a second set of twins, this time sired by *B Here Be Goats Magic Caesar. We have wisely chosen to retain the doe kid from that kidding, whom we expect to be an exceptional milker.
We had originally planned to breed Lilith to Aristede this season. But after the difficult delivery and long recovery this spring, we think Lilith has earned a year off. She will remain open for 2011.

Winona is a very elegant, beautiful doeling. She is extremely long-bodied with
uphill lines, deep chest, wide rump, fantastic escutcheon arch, well-placed teats, strong legs and feet, excellent stature and a feminine face. These are her pictures as a first freshening yearling. Although they're nice, she's far prettier in person. Wy has a nice high udder that is extremely well attached.
She had a very easy kidding and produced a beautiful doe kid by *B Here Be Goats Magic Caesar. She produced 8.3 # of milk a day at two months fresh. Very good for a first time freshener!
Winona will be the only doe bred this year. We would like to see what Aristede has to offer as a sire. He was too young to breed last season, so this will be his debut. We are very excited to see what this match-up will produce!

Amazing Grace got her name because it is amazing that she is here at all.
Her mother Lilith is small, was pregnant with twins, and had a difficult delivery.
Grace presented with three legs forward and her head turned back - the worst
possible delivery position. There was no time to try and get a vet- my 14 year old
daughter and I had to push the kid back, bring the head around and get it out or
we would lose everybody. I fully expected the malpositioned kid -Grace- to be
dead by the time we got her out. She showed no signs of life as I guided her head
around to deliver her. I pulled her out, held her upside down by her hind legs and
thumped her ribcage to clear her lungs. Then she surprised us all by coughing and
gasping for air! Once she was out of his way, her twin brother Black Magic
popped out right behind her. He was okay, too.
Grace is a very pretty doeling with real presence and charisma. You can see
from her pictures that she is long, level and balanced. She has a beautiful
escutcheon, evenly placed teats, nice staight legs, tight toes, and a strong dairy
character. Based on her leg bone thickness, I think she will be a little on the
small side, like her mother. But like her mother, Grace has the background to be
an outstanding milker. I had planned on breeding her at eight months old, but
due to her petite frame, I think I'll give her an extra year to mature. She will
be kept as a dry yearling.
